other programs

LiTFUSE is Tieton Arts & Humanities first program. Founded in 2007 by Michael Schein, LiTFUSE began as an annual weekend-long poets’ workshop held in Tieton, WA (near Yakima). LiTFUSE UNiTE Poets’ Workshop has always been inclusive & welcoming to poets of all ages, levels, backgrounds and styles. The mission of LiTFUSE is to unite all kinds of poets throughout the Northwest and beyond, and to open us to fresh voices and inspiration, and to deepen community with our fellow poets and artists.

LiTFUSE FUEL: Featured Reader & Open Mic Series launched in May 2022. This monthly event takes place every fourth Saturday (Feb-Nov) at the Fueling Station in Tieton (519 Maple St.) at 4:00 pm. Doors open at 3:30 pm for food & community. FUEL is free and open to the public. Featured readers have included Raul Sanchez, Kristin Berger, Derek Sheffield, Alberto Sveum, and Michael Schmeltzer.
